I just thought I would send you a note to tell you what an excellent diver Sylvia has become. She is so trim and confident under the water! You would be so proud of her if you had the opportunity to see what an exceptional diver you produced. I believe a diver is only as good as their training and experience. I know I am just a proud parent but even two of the dive masters we dove with during our dives in Mexico on different boats commented on what a good diver she is. They even offered her to finish her training with them so she could have a job, if it was next year I would have considered letting her stay but at 17 I am wary of letting her stay in a foreign country without us. Plus she will have the opportunity to leave the nest soon enough.

Anyway I thought I would just let you know about her progress as a diver and say thank you for all of the outstanding training we have received from you. 

Our first visit to the OFD facility convinced us that this would be the place for us to pursue our open water certification. The pool, the organized and well managed shop, and the professionalism of every staff member we encountered were all impressive.

Our lessons with Kathy were terrific—she has excellent teaching skills. Kathy was very positive, patient, and adjusted to our learning needs, while always adhering to high standards. Kathy provided knowledgeable and helpful responses to all of our questions and concerns—we couldn’t have asked for a better learning experience. Kathy also spent a great deal of time with us during the process of our equipment purchases.

We were fortunate to continue working with Kathy her during our open water dives in Key Largo, and also had the pleasure of working with Chad on that trip. Both Kathy and Chad were friendly, positive, highly knowledgeable, and committed to student success. They were able to share their enthusiasm for the sport of diving, provide quality instruction, closely monitor skill demonstration, and effectively adjust to the varied environmental conditions and the abilities/needs of all the divers. It must be a challenge to achieve a balance between all these components, but Kathy and Chad did it extremely well!

I love to swim but was nervous about scuba diving. I took my underwater certification course at Ocean First Divers and the staff took the time to help me to learn all that I needed to feel confident about diving. They were thorough and kind. I have been diving ever since and loving it thanks to them.

My wife and I took the Discover Scuba class yesterday and totally loved it. It was perfect because my wife was having problems with coordinating her breathing and there was an extra instructor available to do one-on-one time with her. Ryan was the main instructor and did an EXCELLENT job. We even got to talk to Jon Miller afterwards and he shared the same excitement about diving as Ryan and everyone else we met there. Ryan is the tops! Thank you for a great experience and we hope to see you again.

It was tough and it was tiring, but it was also a special time to get to know a fine young man. That sounds like such an old-fashioned description, but Chad Koll is a fine man. Over the many hours we spent above deck, I loved listening to pieces of his life, spoken in his soft American accent. He's 29, born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado and for a land-locked upbringing, or perhaps because of it, he has an incredible passion for the ocean...  he's back at university completing his biology degree, majoring in environmental studies. He works as a dive instructor at Ocean First Divers in Boulder, CO and boy is he good. I learned more from him in the five dives we did together than I have since I started diving many years ago. Go Chad!

Hi guys! My wife, Erin, and I just completed the pool training in preparation for the upcoming Florida dive trip. We took lessons with Kathy and she proved to be an unbelievable patient, professional and knowledgeable instructor. She is an outstandng representative for your team and you can be assured we will be back for additional training at Ocean First Divers thanks to her. Thanks very much Kathy!

We began our scuba diving education with Ocean First Divers in Boulder and we continue with them today. Their first rate instructors have taken us from Open Water through Stress & Rescue. Many thanks to Amy, Sage, Kathy and Sacha for their excellent instruction, friendliness and helpfulness. I am now working with Ocean First to complete my Divemaster course!

Overall, our Tech 1 class was an excellent experience. Ocean First Divers was a very clean, professional and personal dive shop. It was the first time that I've been in a shop with an attached, indoor pool. Very nice! George is a patient and talented instructor. He put up with many hours of newbish questions, walking us through thought processes and the numerous personal blunders. And the team...being familiar with the other members of the J Team made the critical skills easier to deal with and made the overall experience that much more enjoyable.

I was somewhat apprehensive about the pool skills coming into the class as I'm sure many people are with a completely new skill set. John and Mark were very clear, confident and able to teach the skills in such a way so that by the second day I too felt confident. Excellent experience!

Just wanted to pass on how great the diving weekend was in Florida. Sacha did a great job of professionally instructing the new OW Students. The weather conditions were very rough and she kept all the students calm and on task. It was a great experience to observe how to teach in the most difficult of conditions.

It was a pleasure to train with another professional instructor from OFD.

Dear Amy and Kathy,

Just wanted to thank you both for an exceptional series of nights, with Kathy for instruction on land and Amy in the pool, diving off the Clown fish boat!!

Your ability to teach and inspire "newbie" divers is remarkable. We both feel so fortunate to have had you as instructors. You both made the classes fun and safe. Somehow, Kathy even made the dive tables enjoyable - but hey, I enjoy diagraming sentences! Amy you were so patient in the pool and even made swimming in the 'empty' ocean fun. We both feel very well prepared and more importantly, feel that we understand the safety concerns and procedures. We are so psyched about our open water dives coming up next week! Once again, thank you for everything!

Just a quick note to say thanks again for the scuba classes.  Joe, Justin, and I went to Cozumel for my bachelor party last week with a few other friends to do our first "real" open water dives.  4 dives in 2 days.  I can say I'll never go back to dive Chatfield again.  Here's a picture of us on the boat.  We were more than prepared thanks to your expert training.  Thank you also for the referral to the dive shop - they were great.  See you soon for the Nitrox and Advanced classes.

I was very impressed with my daughter's open water class. The instructors and class went very smoothly for her. My class and hers have been our first involvement with Ocean First Divers and I'm happy that we found an extremely professional place to handle our future diving needs. Thanks!

Derek, Mike & I had a great refresher course with Sacha last Tuesday and we all feel a lot more comfortable going down to Bonaire this Saturday. We all agreed this refresher course was very important to take for any divers, like us, who have not been able to dive as much as we'd like. Thanks again for a wonderful experience and we look forward to sharing our underwater memories with the best dive shop in the world!

A very thorough class and Bruce was so passionate and he definitely shared that! It was more than just an instructional class but a look into a cool and fun lifestyle. Chad was sweet too!

Andrew and Dan were amazing- very knowledgeable and great instructors. I was nervous before starting the class and they both helped me feel confident and capable for each of the skills. I am feeling excited and completely prepared for my open water dives in Mexico later this month. Thank you!

From start to finish, Bruce and Andrew were helpful and encouraging. Even if I didn't get the skill down right away, they were patient and never made me feel bad for missing it the first time. I highly recommend the Ocean First Divers program.
